Ms.San Gordon taught music to grades Pre K-8th in Vermont and Georgia from 2009-2020, both classroom general and Band/Chorus, She earned her MA in Music Education in 2017 from Capitol University in Columbus, Ohio.  After moving to California she became the Music Teacher at Poinsettia Elementary School in 2022-2023 and was thrilled to be hired full-time for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Aligning with the California Standards of Music Education, San’s approach to teaching classroom music draws from both her own experience and that of scholars of music education to provide a well-rounded, “scaffolded” curriculum. All students will play percussion, ukulele, and recorders, appropriate to their grade level; developing skills in music reading and notation. Singing includes skill development in pitch, breath support and performance, movement incorporates dance, and music listening/appreciation includes units on history from Beethoven to modern music.
